Akin Equine Veterinary Services was established in
January of 1991. The equine hospital was built in January 1995. AEVS
specializes in the treatment of sport and show horses with heavy emphasis on
lameness and internal medicine. Along with the equine athletes, we take care
of broodmare work. Reproduction work is also very important. We are a full-service hospital with x-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, in-house lab work, endoscopy, and surgical capabilities for routine surgical procedures.
Among some of AEVS' more famous patients are: The Budweiser Clydesdale Team, Generator's Santana (1997 WGC Tennessee Walking Horse) , Multi time World Champion Cash For Keeps, and 1999 4-year old World Grand Champion Pushovers Powerstroke.
